Project Results
Social entrepreneurship as a basis is an innovation engine that motivates people to leave familiar patterns of thinking. Six partner organizations from Germany, Italy, Romania, Greece, Ireland and Slovenia, including the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, are first developing an innovation manual that will serve as a guide for the learning modules. Best practices show how existing social enterprises proceed.
The innovation book represents the project’s methodology that will support the development of a methodological approaches for social entrepreneurship.
Activities include:
- an analysis of the best practices in the social economy on the EU level, including legal frameworks, with focus on the needs of each country
- define the educators/mentors profile
- define the trainee /adult learners profiles
- define key skills & competences to be acquired after completing the training
- define evaluation /certification of skills and competences
Through PR2, project partners develop, implement and test a new approach to promote creativity, entrepreneurial thinking and skills based on digital solutions, for designing innovation in close cooperation with the communities in which the 6 organizations are embedded. The project’s main objective is developing social entrepreneurial approaches based on digital solutions, a practical training program for adult learners and interactive training resources to improve competences of adult educators, by involving partners coming from academic field, private and civil society representing Western, Central, Eastern European countries.
Activities include:
- develop social entrepreneurship course modules
- pilot the training modules for 20 young entrepreneurs in 6 countries; at the end we select 6 champions per country (36 in total)
- evaluate the performance of pilot training and certificate skills acquired
- deliver 3 international mobilities, C2, C3, C4 involving 12 participants (2-3 selected adult learners /partner country), each mobility, during 1 week.
- follow-up mentoring activities for young social entrepreneurs including social business plan development, business start-up, seeking financial support until the end of the project
The main objective of this output is to create a virtual learning and collaborative environment for the mentors and social entrepreneurs, facilitate the use of the common interactive and video resources by the mentors involved in the project during implementation and afterwards and exchange know how and best practices in social entrepreneurship.
Activities include:
- Develop e-learning session plan and scheme of work
- Develop specific resources according to the needs identified in each country and the common methodological approach.
- Prepare e-learning course contents upstream the training and selection of the participants according to the mentor’s profile established in PR1
- Deliver training of trainers/adult educators/ and staff
- Provide access on the platform to mentors / revise the e-learning according to feedback received during implementation of PR2 – until the end of the project and after
